The library and computer center have been designing a library cataloging program, AUTOCAT, since 1982 and will be ready for use next year. Gamma Phi Beta sorority received their second President's Cup at Homecoming. The annual event, Songfest, was presented by Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) and Wheel and Chain and drew a huge crowd to ATS. An article focuses on the many roles and jobs of campus Resident Advisors. The Men's Cross Country team will participate in the Middle Atlantic Conference's invitational meet.

Dickinsonian, March 11, 1982

The Pew Memorial Trust is source of a recent grant that the College secured to help expand the College's computer system. The Panhellenic Council met last week to approve the formation of a fifth sorority. Boxers Ron Sing and Larry Russo will compete in the Eastern Conference Boxing Championship. In the Middle Atlantic Conference championship, the men's swim team took third place and the women's swim team took seventh. Oscar Leon wins a title in a table tennis tournament.

In this edition, the College Library has plans to upgrade their card cataloging system to computers. Professor Marjorie Fitzpatrick is leaving the College for a new teaching job after being denied tenure, even after an appeal. Students work to keep Thornwald Park preserved and untouched. Students give their opinions on Three Mile Island and whether or not it should be reactivated after the recent explosion. The baseball team has been unsuccessful this season, with seven straight defeats and not one victory yet.

Dickinsonian, December 7, 1978

Fund raising has begun for the new gymnasium, where a sign already stands marking the location of the site. The ad hoc Senate committee has decided to open the closed dining hall due to dissatisfaction amongst students with the program. The College's phone system has been modified due to students abusing the phones by racking up expensive phone bills. Another ad hoc committee was established by President Sam Banks to improve the College's computing systems. Men's basketball team starts the season off victorious.
