Global Education is developing new summer abroad programs. Vargas Llosa, a past Stellfox winner, receives the Nobel Peace Prize for Literature. A poll on the World Court is taken by the YMCA and YWCA, while Prof. Leon Prince spoke against US involvement in the World Court in chapel. The Inter-Fraternity Council adopts new by-laws; new laws on rushing, bidding, and preferential bidding for pledges; new policies for violations and penalties; and a required grade average to pledge. Photography begins for the 1927 Microcosm. The football team takes a 34 to 0 victory over the Pennsylvania Military College.

The second annual Parents and Alumni Day is a great success. The Theta Chi fraternity has purchased 270 West High Street to be used as a fraternity home. The French Club plans to preform Moliere's "La Grammaire." Dr. Richard Burton delivered a lecture in chapel on the subject of "Modern Tendency in Drama." The football team takes Albright College in a 13 to 6 victory and prepares to meet their arch-rivals Gettysburg. Dickinsonians attend an east central Pennsylvania conference on the World Court. The College celebrates Halloween with a Dance.

Dickinson ties Muhlenberg College 0-0 in a rainy football match.  Marthues Dougherty wins the award for best cheer handed into the cheer contest committee. Professor Richard Burton will deliver a lecture as part of a series of Chapel entertainments. The college prepares to celebrate Parents' and Alumni Day. The Interfraternity Council plans to revise rushing rules. Women's Basketball practice will begin. Pledge day for women's fraternities will be held in the coming week.

Dickinsonian, November 22, 1923

It is announced that five students, to be elected by December 1, will represent Dickinson at the Convention of Student Volunteers in Indianapolis. The Student Senate President announces that he does not accept the resignation of the other senators and the body sketches an informal plan for reform, including the merging of the men's and women's senates into one comprehensive body. The Interfraternity Council plans an open house dance. The Dickinson Press Club receives the recognition of both smaller local papers and some larger dailies.

Dickinsonian, December 19, 1930

Men's fraternities receive their pledges. Eighty men are pledging the eight fraternities. The Athletic Council draws up new requirements for achieving a letter in cross country which mainly require the runner to place first, second or third in some kind of race or meet. The freshmen class gets stopped by the fire department for having a bonfire outside Conway Hall. A group of Dickinson alumni meet in Philadelphia weekly to discuss problems with the world and Dickinson in general.

New intramural sports are introduced including wrestling, boxing and soccer to join intramural basketball, track, swimming and baseball. Twenty-seven of the thirty-six new freshmen women pledge fraternities. The cross country season is postponed until November to prevent athletes from injury. Eighty-nine new books are added to the college's library.

Dickinsonian, November 30, 1934

In the last football game of the season, Dickinson defeats Muhlenberg. The all-College Social committee begins to discuss plans for the annual Doll Show and the Thanksgiving dance. The Tribunal gives the freshman an exam to test their knowledge on the subjects of the College and Carlisle. The Dickinson College Players will perform “Death Takes a Holiday.” A hymnal in which past and present students have been recording comments on the chapel speakers is found.

Professor Leon C. Prince gives a talk on the Golden Rule as aid for an economy recovery for the country. The soccer team loses to Delaware. The Debate Squad elects new officers. The Deputation Committee meets and plans out their work for the year. More freshmen are penalized by the Men's Tribunal for failing to memorize college songs and cheers. The faculty decides to shorten classes on Saturday so that everyone will be able to attend the football game against Gettysburg.

Six freshmen are punished for violating the Freshman Rules and neglecting other duties. A sophomore studies a local cave and disproves several local myths. The college begins to offer courses aimed at educating Sunday School teachers. An article talks about how much money the Senate spent on small trinkets and rewards for students. The football team ties with Ursinus. The Women’s Senate calls for an all-College Senate to solve the issue of the Men’s Senate making decisions for everyone on campus.

Raymond R. Brewer, Dickinson's representative at West China's Union University, will revisit the College. Fourteen graduates of the College were in China amidst civil unrest, but were able to leave without danger. Taylor and P.E. Smith earned first place medals in the two cross country races held for the T. Marshall West Awards. Women's Glee Club holds a rally in the Metzger Hall gymnasium. Details regarding the Senior Class Ball to be held on May 14. Ten Freshmen were punished by the Student Tribunal.

Impersonator William Sterling Battis will entertain the student body at chapel with impersonations of famous literary characters. Seniors Victor Baiz and Christopher Crook are named to the All-State Eleven picked by Stoney McLinn, Philadelphia Public Ledger sports writer. The football team loses their final game. A report lists the most common occupations of the parents of Dickinsonians. The first annual Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A. Conference of Eastern Pennsylvania will convene at Dickinson this week.
