Dickinsonian, December 19, 1925

Dickinson attends the National Undergraduate Inter-Fraternity Council held in NYC and returns with new suggested policies. The Glee Club will give a Christmas Concert. Ninety men, 64% of the men in the present freshman class, pledged to a fraternity. The Annual Doll Show raised $95. Players are honored at the annual football banquet. Plans are made for the freshman song examination.

Dickinsonian, December 12, 1925

The YWCA will send proceeds and dolls from their Annual Doll Show to the children of prisoners in New York City. Mr. L. F. Bower, young people's secretary of the college, has been added as a chairman to the Debating Council and try-outs will be held for two full teams. The College Glee Club will give their first concert of the year at Newville Highschool. The basketball team opens the season in an away game against the City College of New York. With rushing drawn to a close, freshman will be pledged to their chosen fraternity.

A. J. "Dad" Elliot, a Christian leader, challenges students to engage more in Christian practices. Many freshmen, the registrar reveals, are related to former Dickinsonians. The annual Doll Show was held Dec. 16, 1932 and resulted in $40.00 being donated to the Shiremanstown Home along with dolls and other gifts. German club showing a "talkie" in the annual German picture showing. Students ratify the new Athletic Association constitution. Prof. Albert H Gerberich investigates the genealogy of film actress Lillian Gish. Dramatic Club to perform "Haunted House" Thursday, Jan. 19th.

Dickinsonian, November 30, 1934

In the last football game of the season, Dickinson defeats Muhlenberg. The all-College Social committee begins to discuss plans for the annual Doll Show and the Thanksgiving dance. The Tribunal gives the freshman an exam to test their knowledge on the subjects of the College and Carlisle. The Dickinson College Players will perform “Death Takes a Holiday.” A hymnal in which past and present students have been recording comments on the chapel speakers is found.

The theme for the first annual student conference of Eastern Pennsylvania Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A. is "Jesus: What is His part in my life?". The Dramatic Club will present two one-act plays--The Goose With the Golden Egg, with an all-freshman cast, and Mr. X, featuring an all-sophomore cast. The Y.W.C.A. and Women's Senate will host the annual Doll Show. The Chemistry department praises the collections held in the Scientific Museum in Tome. Impressionist William S. Battis will portray classic Dickens characters. The basketball season will open with a match against Princeton.

Dickinsonian, December 11, 1941

A joint-committee is created to organize and coordinate extra-curricular activities to to help with defense service or preparation. The most recent Student Opinion Surveys of America poll has revealed that students believe that war increases opportunities. The Red Cross to create a unit on Dickinson's campus which will be affiliated with the Carlisle branch. Plans are starting to be made in case of attack, specifically a mock air raid will be staged on Sunday (directions for the air raid are included in this issue). Metzger Hall held an open house for faculty last week.
