Dickinsonian, April 29, 1914

Mr. Andrew Oyler is hired as the new baseball coach. Robert B. Kistler will assume the role of Editor-in-Chief for the next issue of The Dickinsonian. Dickinson finished fourth at the Annual Relay Carnival at the University of Pennsylvania. The track and tennis schedules are announced. An article underlines the importance of good time management in college.

Dickinsonian, September 30, 1903

Dickinson is the first team to play (and lose to) Penn on their brand new field. A student mass meeting is called by Coach Hutchins to thank students for their support before and after the Penn game. Class election results announced, and lemonade and cake are served at a "delightfully informal" Y.W.C.A. Reception.

Dickinsonian, December 5, 1896

Professor Cumnock's reading of literary selections as part of the YMCA Star Course was well attended.  The College Quartet has a performance.  The College Association has its annual convention at the University of Pennsylvania.  Five dollar prize offered for he who comes up with the best new yell for the College.  Compulsory gymnasium work begins for Preparatory students and lower classmen.  A brick pavement is laid from East College to Denny Hall.

Six freshmen are punished for violating the Freshman Rules and neglecting other duties. A sophomore studies a local cave and disproves several local myths. The college begins to offer courses aimed at educating Sunday School teachers. An article talks about how much money the Senate spent on small trinkets and rewards for students. The football team ties with Ursinus. The Women’s Senate calls for an all-College Senate to solve the issue of the Men’s Senate making decisions for everyone on campus.

A detailed description of the night's homecoming activities is presented, with historian Dr. Henry Steele Commager's speech slated as the headlining event. The Mermaid Players are slated to present their first play of the year, "A Man for All Seasons". John Ogdon, a pianist from New York City, is scheduled to play in the Carlisle Junior High School Auditorium on November 6th. Professor Ken Laws assists NICAP in study of UFOs in the Carlisle-Harrisburg region. The Dickinsonian announces a "turtle trot" race.
