Dickinsonian, January 1894

The Orchestra and Octette have a "phenomenally successful trip" over the break.  A lecture series including lectures by Mr. Phoelus W. Lyons, Rev. James Morrow, J. Smallwood, Dr. P. S. Thorpe, and various Dickinson faculty, is announced.  Despite various offers of "flattering positions", President Reed stays at Dickinson.  The Prohibition Club elects new officers.  Fund raising for a new recitation building progresses.  The Senior class elects officers.  Feed held for West College just before the holidays.

$1,250,000 fund-raising campaign to improve and modernize the college to come to an end. Athletic Association discusses the building of new enlarged grandstands at Biddle Field. Student Band to play for the rest of the football season. Greek Club to hold Doll Show.

Dickinsonian, November 21, 1896

Delta Chi holds a banquet.  The new Scientific Course is announced and its requirements and curriculum detailed.  A lecture series is announced.  The results of the Senior Class Day and Union Philosophical Society elections results announced.  Low attendance at the YMCA Star Course's first event is lamented.  Donations to support athletics at Dickinson are encouraged.   The establishment of a trophy room is proposed.  The class of 1899 elects its athletics committee.  Science facilities are improved with new laboratory space and an aquarium.&nbsp

Dickinsonian, December 5, 1940

Dickinson joins a nation-wide Christmas stamp-selling campaign that raises funds for the National Tuberculosis Association. The Woman's Choral Club performs for the first time this semester, singing at the College Chapel Service. The renovations being made to Bosler Hall near completion and will include a reserve room, a reference room, a Dickinsonia room, a faculty study, a music room and a recreational reading room. In addition, it is now limestone to match the other buildings on campus.

Student Senate rescinds use of College name agreement. Communications and Development director Robert White resigns amid fund-raising. First weekend of BYOB meets with success, few problems. Social life committee to continue. Feinberg dinner rescheduled for next week. Eating disorders on campus force college to face the problem. Carlisle Car Shows. Art professor Dennis Akin, who did the stained glass, retires. Jim Morrisey latest storyteller in a series from the English department. College Choir featured in Bicentennial celebration of Allison Methodist Church.

Dickinsonian, October 29, 1981

The Ruckus committee displayed a giant bra between the library and Montgomery House to raise awareness of student artwork. The Beta Theta Pi fraternity received the President's Cup for outstanding contributions to campus life. Women's Field Hockey is continuing to do well. The Board of Trustees decided to raise the fund raising goal. An explosion from the College's "number one boiler" caused a short term loss of hot water and heat in some dorms.
