Dickinson joins a nation-wide Christmas stamp-selling campaign that raises funds for the National Tuberculosis Association. The Woman's Choral Club performs for the first time this semester, singing at the College Chapel Service. The renovations being made to Bosler Hall near completion and will include a reserve room, a reference room, a Dickinsonia room, a faculty study, a music room and a recreational reading room. In addition, it is now limestone to match the other buildings on campus.
Student Senate organizes a pep rally for the big game against Gettysburg in response to the noticeable lack of spirit by students in the recent past. The head librarian at Dickinson, May Morris, suffers a fall from the library stairs, leaving her with both wrists broken and severe spine and shoulder bruises. Tau Kappa Alpha holds a meeting regarding an annual debate with interested members of various campus organizations.
The rising junior class holds elections for the upcoming year, already beginning to discuss such events as the 1937 Junior Prom. Wheel and Chain, the women's honorary senior fraternity, selects its new members. Belles Lettres Literary Society plans its sesqui-centennial celebration. Charles R. Gay, president of the New York Stock Exchange, is announced as commencement speaker. Five members of the Debate Squad are inducted into Tau Kappa Alpha, an honorary forensic fraternity.
Omicron Delta Kappa sponsors the publication of the first Dickinson Songbook since 1910. The Dickinson chapter of Tau Kappa Alpha prepares to hold the district convention of Tau Kappa Alpha colleges in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Admiral Arthur J. Hepburn '96 is appointed commander-in-chief of the United States fleet.

Lambda Sigma Pi elects eight new members. Union Philosophical Society to discuss "war aims" in their next meeting. A Student Opinion Surveys of America poll reveals that three of every five women are volunteering with civilian defense activities, but less than three of ten men, not already in the Armed Services, are helping with defense duties. Mid-Winter Ball was attended by 130 couples or 260 students. Three seniors elected to join Phi Beta Kappa.
A joint-committee is created to organize and coordinate extra-curricular activities to to help with defense service or preparation. The most recent Student Opinion Surveys of America poll has revealed that students believe that war increases opportunities. The Red Cross to create a unit on Dickinson's campus which will be affiliated with the Carlisle branch. Plans are starting to be made in case of attack, specifically a mock air raid will be staged on Sunday (directions for the air raid are included in this issue). Metzger Hall held an open house for faculty last week.
Dickinson football won against Susquehanna last weekend and will face Gettysburg this coming weekend. Petition presented with 450 signatures at the beginning of Chapel about giving athletic scholarships to students--this was the result of built up tensions. Improvements to be made to Conway Hall.
