Dickinson defeats Swarthmore in the Fourth Intercollegiate Oratorical Contest.  The Junior physics class went to study the organ in Allison M. E. Church.  Rev. Samuel Parkes Cadman gives an excellent lecture.  The combined musical clubs give a concert at Shippensburg.  Dr. W. V. Kelley's lecture on Browning is a success.  Mid-winter sports exhibition held.  New Dickinsonian board announced.  Editor responds to hazing controversy.  1912 Microcosm board members announced.

A radio transmitter made by Dickinson students is now being tested in the physics lab and will be the basis for the new college radio station W3CY. The dramatic club casts its next production "Holiday" which will be performed around commencement time. A constitution and by-laws are set up for the varsity D Club.

Student Senate requests its members declare their party affiliations. Dean of Contemporary American Poets Robert Lee Frost receives first Dickinson College Arts Award. Dean of Women Victoria Kathryn Hann resigns. Students extinguish fire in Gibbs House. Howard C. Long becomes physics professor.

Women's athletic programs have been now offering their participants more variety, as both Women's Volleyball and Field Hockey will be offered in the Fall. Professor Sylvester Kohut Jr., of the Psychology-Education Department, recently wrote a book for the National Education Association's "What Research Says to the Teacher" series.

Inter-fraternity Council writes rules to be enforced next semester. Pi Delta Epsilon initiates 8 members. Three seniors - Virginia Compton, Keith Cohick and Susie Teller - admitted to Peace Corps. Students praise study plan but criticize restricted electives of recent academic revisions. Physics department awarded $20,000 from National Science Foundation for new equipment. Lacrosse team upsets Franklin & Marshall while golf team loses. Baseball team beats University of Pittsburgh to break nine game losing streak.
