The Student Senate hears two housing reports; one from Dean Markwood and one by the Ad Hoc Committee on Fraternity Housing. They also examined registration procedures. Multiple faculty members will be leaving or going on sabbatical. A team of twelve students with a faculty adviser will carry out an investigation of the Carlisle area's effects upon LeTort Spring and the Conodoguinet Creek from June 1 to August 19. Law and Social Work are the highest attended programs at Career Week. The Fine Arts Department will sponsor an exhibit by American artist Paul Feeley.

The Student Senate holds its first meeting of the year with much discussion of dorm autonomy. The Student Mobilization Committee the end the War in Vietnam had its first meeting. The IFC has now become the Presidents' Council to meet a modern need. The All-College Committee on Fraternities was dissolved. An outline of the Student Senate's plans for the upcoming year are discussed. The first session of summer transition was held. Students failed in a test of self-regulation over summer school. The Mermaid players will open this season with a production of Richard III.

Dr. George Beadle receives Priestley Award. Swim team retains Middle Atlantic Conference College Division title. Four fraternities remain on probation for rush weekend incidents. Keeble College Prof. Nicholas Zernov to speak in Memorial Hall. This summer, Profs. George Allan and Merle Allshouse to direct first annual Philosophy Institute. Open meeting in Union will allow students to view possible curriculum changes. Slated to speak in chapel is Indian scholar Bishop James Mathews. Robert Bailey elected Independent Student Organization president. Prof. K.
