Seniors present Dr. and Mrs. Reed with brass candlesticks in honor of their 21st year at the College. Freshmen win the cap scrap agains the Sophomores by ingeniously concealing their caps in their shoes. The day long Senior Ride up to Doubling Gap is a success. Dickinson competes in annual Pennsylvania relay races in Philadelphia. Student body is called to encourage the Senate to more activity and involvement. Annual Dewey Night celebrations carried off more tamely than usual with a smoker in the gym.
Belles Lettres Literary Society wins annual debate against Union Philosophical Literary Society. The Ben Greet Players present "The Taming of the Shrew" and "Twelfth Night", hosted by the Civic Club. Suggestions for ways to revise the cap scrap are requested by the Senate.
Swarthmore wins debate against Dickinson on the issue of an inheritance tax. Senate passes rule on Freshmen cap wearing. Phi Kappa Sigma holds a smoker. Prof. P. B. Rowe announces his retirement.
Agreement between Faculty and Senate is revised. The Navy League's campaign to educate college men about national defense is discussed. Literary columns published on Benjamin Rush and John Dickinson.
Senate proceedings ruled that each class must pay five dollars to the senate, and that daylight horseplay be extended for an indefinite period. The Alpha Chi Rho fraternity took their annual ride up to Doubling Gap.
The football team has trouble finding new recruits. Literary societies, such as the Belles Lettres Society and the Union Philosophical Society have added new members and kept old ones. The Senate passes thirteen rules for the new freshmen.
