Doubling Gap

Seniors present Dr. and Mrs. Reed with brass candlesticks in honor of their 21st year at the College.  Freshmen win the cap scrap agains the Sophomores by ingeniously concealing their caps in their shoes.  The day long Senior Ride up to Doubling Gap is a success.  Dickinson competes in annual Pennsylvania relay races in Philadelphia.  Student body is called to encourage the Senate to more activity and involvement.  Annual Dewey Night celebrations carried off more tamely than usual with a smoker in the gym.

Gettysburg College accuses Dickinson of violating athletic contract. Alpha Chi Rho takes annual ride to Doubling Gap. Freshman class election results. Belles Lettres and Union Philosophical Society election results.

The Mandolin and Glee Clubs perform at Irving College.  The first recitations are held in Denny Hall.  The seniors take their class trip to Doubling Gap. The Easter Dance was held and students from the surrounding colleges attended.

The Microcosm is soon to be released and should be a good one.  The play "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" is performed to raise money for the Law School.  The Belles Lettres and Union Philosophical Literary Societies hold oratorical contests.  The Seniors take their class trip to Doubling Gap.  The Freshmen compete in the annual Freshman oratorical contest for the Cole and Walkley prizes.  The Junior class will give its Cremation Play, a revival of a tradition not performed since 1893.
