May Day celebration is held. Dickinson participates in Middle Atlantic States Intercollegiate Meet. The program for commencement week is published. A student referendum passes the new honor system. The sophomore class holds elections; David Sharman is president. Senior Picnic is held. Thomas R. Jeffrey is elected president of the Student Senate; Perry F. Prather is elected vice-president.

Robert Crist is elected senior class president, James Yingling vice-president, Barbara Macy secretary, and David Berner treasurer. Robert G. Crist is also elected president of Union Philosophical Society. President Edel returns responsibility for drawing up the student budget to the senate's finance committee. Joseph Nagy elected president of Athletic Association. Dickinson defeats Western Maryland in Homecoming game.

Student Senate elections were held, with Tom Martin elected as president of the Senate. The Mermaid Players are slated to perform Richard Sheridan's "The Rivals" starting February 29 and ending March 2. Bucknell, Franklin and Marshall, Dickinson, Gettysburg, and Wilson are set to hold meetings to decide what to do with a grant from the Danforth Commission. Paul Kaylor announced that the Public Affairs Symposium for 1969 would be more of a symposium than a lecture series. The IFC held a series of lectures on life within a fraternity.
