SASC, IFC and Panhel discuss the suspension of Rush. College community fasts for Oxfam benefit. Dickinson students participate in pro-choice rally in Washington, DC. Choir and Jazz perform in their annual Concert of Vocal and Instrumental Jazz. DTG presents their fall dance concert, "New Attitudes". Football team defeats Ursinus, earning 2nd consecutive Centennial Conference championship and the College's first NCAA playoff bid. Volleyball places 2nd in ECAC playoffs. Cross Country teams race in MAC championships.

Women's Center to sponsor bussing to "Mobilize for Women's Rights", a pro-choice rally taking place in Washington, DC. Declare Day schedule is released as well as a list of topics to be discussed. Musician and entertainer Carl Rosen performs at Coffeehouse.

College faculty rescinds ban on student alcohol-related activities, suspends all Rush activities for the remainder of the Fall semester. All classes and College activities suspended for Declare Day. SASC to vote on a revision of the Alcohol Policy. Camp Hill prisoners riot. Magician Kevin Spencer performs in ATS. Mermaid Players on stage for their fall production, "Kind Lady".

College Board of Trustees vote to adopt a resolution endorsing the Select Committee Report on Greek Life. Official investigation into student's death is completed. In light of charges brought against Alpha Chi Rho for their involvement in the accident, the fraternity pleads guilty and the chapter is suspended indefinitely. Committees to discuss plan to alter the weekly schedule. The Conventional Theater puts on a production of "Talking With", with both students and professors performing.

Approximately 20 Dickinson Students join thousands of others from across the country in Washington, D.C. to participate in a march and rally to generate voter support for the homeless in the United States. Trustees to convene at regular meeting, Select Committee Report to be heavily discussed. Memorial service held for freshman Steven Butterworth. Feature article on Professor Olmstead, winner of the John Simon Gugenheim award. Musician Danny McCarthy performs at Coffeehouse for his second appearance at Dickinson.

Freshman Steven Butterworth dies from major head injuries after falling out of a 3rd story window at the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity the night before. All campus alcohol related activities banned indefinitely. IFC suspends all membership privileges to the fraternity pending further investigation. Results of referendum concerning the Select Committee Report on Greek Life calculated. Carlisle Mayor Kirk Wilson discusses improvement of campus/community relations.

Carlisle resident falls through grating near Snar entrance of HUB landing in the basement suffering moderate injuries. Area is currently under construction. Faculty endorses Select Committee Report on Greek Life by nearly unanimous vote. Residential Life allows Sigma Alpha Epsilon members to return to Biddle House basement. Registered parties now to be checked at random by campus police in accordance to the College's alcohol policy.

Select Committee proposes major changes to Greek Life in regard to housing and length of the rushing and pledging periods. Freshman injured on crosswalk outside of HUB. Maryland Congresswoman speaks at convocation, receives honorary degree. Biddle House basement is deemed an unsuitable living space and several members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon are forced to move out. Class of 1993 is second only to that of 1988 in size. Biddle Field track is resurfaced.
