Freshmen successfully post their posters on the tower of old West College.  Faculty Club holds first meeting.  Freshmen hold a feed.  Freshmen girls host a reception.  The Law School opens with one of its largest classes ever.  Alumni honor Dr. Reed.  Professor Super's paper on President Durbin is continuted from the previous week.

Dickinson beat by Carlisle Indians in footbal.  Law School opens for the semester.  Delta Chi holds a smoker.  Lack of encouragement for debating and public speaking on campus. Third and Second Section hold their annual late night "feeds".  Harrisburg lawyer Mr. Loeser, Esq. gives lecture on "The Loan Shark."  Green Freshmen caps delivered and widely worn on campus.  The Freshmen class elects officers.

Robert W. Rogers, Bradford O. M'Intyre, and Willard G. Lake become Dickinson professors. William Trickett is the new Law School dean. Professor Rittenhouse's former rooms in West College are converted into student rooms. Patton, '92, is elected football captain. An inaugural ceremony is held for the Dickinson School of Law.

Belles Lettres Society elects officers. Athletic Association creates a committee to increase membership. Field Day is reinstated. Dickinson sends representatives to the District YMCA Convention. Emory Hall is prepared to house a new Law School.

College plans to reopen a Law School. Glee Club gives concert. Walkley senior oratorical prize created. First annual Mid-Winter Athletic Contest is held.

The Law School opens with its largest number ever, and an improved course of  three years, rather than two.  The class of 1898 elects its class day officers.  An article encourages faithful participation in the YMCA Bible study courses offered.  A new elective in English Drama is offered.

The Inter-Society Debate between the Union Philosophical Society and the Belles Lettres Society took place in Bosler Hall. The Belles Lettres Society won. The state convention for the Y. M. C. A. is held. A reader responds to the Dickinsonian's negative comments about the Law School. An address entitled “Carlisle Before and During the Revolution” is given at the Women’s Civic Club of Carlisle. The Mid-winter sports will begin on Friday.

The football team wins 23-0 against Wyoming Seminary. In the first game of this year’s series of inter-class football games, the sophomore class wins against the freshmen. Students argue law students are disconnected from campus life. Miss Jesse A. Ackerman, a great Women's Christian Temperance Union (W.C.T.U) worker, addressed the college in a speech about womanhood and the role of women in the abolition of liquor.

The new school year begins with a large freshman class, and publication of the names of those who matriculated.  Physical Director, Professor Forrest E. Craver resigns and is replaced by John W.

Judge E. W. Biddle gives a lecture at the Dickinson School of Law. Trustees of the J. Herman Bosler Memorial Library determine their committee members. Reception for the Freshman class is held in the Ladies' Hall. Comments about how West College smells like sweet potatoes. Day of prayer held in Allison M. E. Church.

A rather disappointing Belles Lettres Sophomore Oratorical contest is held.  The Law School again performs its production of "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.  Hyde" in the Opera House, due to its popularity.  The editors suggest that oratorical contests be moved to a different time of year, to allow for more participation.  Dr. Beaver, State Secretary of the College Associations, speaks to the YMCA on life as a minister.  General Horatio King, honorary alumnus, dies in Washington.  Senior class rankings announced.

The Microcosm is soon to be released and should be a good one.  The play "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" is performed to raise money for the Law School.  The Belles Lettres and Union Philosophical Literary Societies hold oratorical contests.  The Seniors take their class trip to Doubling Gap.  The Freshmen compete in the annual Freshman oratorical contest for the Cole and Walkley prizes.  The Junior class will give its Cremation Play, a revival of a tradition not performed since 1893.

Professor of History, Leon C. Prince, seeks re-election to state senate. Rushing continues for potential new fraternity pledges, while sorority rushing ends. Dickinsonian celebrates 60th anniversary. Dickinson Law School has 54 new men enrolled. The Football team is to open the season with a game against Ursinus . Dickinsonian to conduct straw vote for US Presidential Election.

Two stray cats have occupied the dorm rooms of Metzger Hall.  Judge M.W. Jacobs, professor of Equity on the original Law school faculty, passes away.  Dickinson's basketball team loses a close game to Army.

The Dickinsonian begins its 56th year of publication, noting its roots as a literary magazine under the Belles Lettres and Union Philosophical Literary societies.  Mervin Grant Filler is elected 18th president of the college, filling the vacancy of the newly resigned Dr. James Henry Morgan, while Professor Montgomery Porter Sellers takes deanship.  William Trickett, who served as Dean of the Law School for 38 years, dies of influenza.  Metzger Hall is modernized, both inside and out.  The football team prepares to start their season with scrimmages on Biddle Field.

Controversies continue surrounding Michael Moore's upcoming public lecture. Debate over Penn State Dickinson School of Law affiliation between Pennsylvania State University and Dickinson College. Officer Paul Darlington no longer serves as the Director of Dickinson Public Safety, and will be replaced by Lt Richard Sexton. Discussion of 2004-2005 Learning Communities. ROTC ranked 8th in nation. Response to Penn State's proposed move of the Dickinson School of Law. $1 million granted to history department for creation of faculty post specializing in the American Civil War. Concerns expressed over air conditioning policies in campus housing. Major General Robert Silverthorn '70 speaks on the impact Dickinson had on his life. Dr John Bombaro of the John Newton International Center for Christian Studies spoke at Dickinson Christian Fellowship's Skeptic's Night. The Infernos debut at Homecoming and Family Weekend.

Women's Center sponsors trip to March for Women's Equality and Women's Rights. Law school students protest homogeny. Student Affairs and Services Committee discusses success of new alcohol policy with George Obermeier. President's Council forms as forum for campus organizations to discuss mutual problems.

Fran Donelan speaks to students about the registration and the draft. Admissions reports a new record in applications. New policy prohibits Dickinson students from studying at Dickinson School of Law's Library. Money held in the College's reserves will be pumped into financial aid programs to help battle inflation, government cuts, and constriction in qualified college applicants.

Prof. Joseph Kelley of Dickinson's Law School speaks at a mini-symposium on impeachment. Faculty favors the 4-J-4 calendar system in a discussion with the Academic Program Committee. WDCV begins FM broadcasting as it reprograms its format; Pres. Rubendall is to dedicate the station in upcoming ceremonies. Nottingham's English Sinfonia is to appear in concert as part of the Cultural Affairs Series. Prof. William Sloane plans to run for Mayor of Carlisle.
