The Seniors, Juniors, and Freshmen elect their officers for the  year.  Electric lights to be installed in East College.  The editors exhort all to pay the optional athletic fee in support of the athletic teams.  Professor Harry W. Smith is the new football coach.  The ladies of the Freshman and Junior class host a reception for Freshman men, with some disturbance by the members of the Sophomore class.  The Civic Club to host a lectures series.  The annual county fair to be held in Carlisle.  Alpha Chi Rho secures new rooms in the Stuart building.

The senior and junior class election results announced.  The Allison Law Society and Dickinson Law Society announce their new officers.  The question of silver versus gold standard for currency is debated.  The law students hold regular Moot Courts.  Delta Chi moves to the third floor of the Stuart building.  The YMCA hosts R. L. Cumnock for its second entertainment.  The hot water in the gym is increased and the reading room hours are extended, as requested by the students.  Dr. and Mrs. Reed host an informal tea for the faculty and their families.

Dickinsonian, November 13, 1986

Dean of Educational Services, Leonard Goldberg, has announced his move to the University of Richmond. A rumor is cleared up that Phi Delta Theta's house will not be moved to Stuart Hall. Two faculty members boycotted a meeting to discuss divestment, Professors Nancy Mellerski and Thomas Zoumaras. The Volleyball team earned its first ever Mid Atlantic Conference bid.
