Chelsea Clinton visits Carlile's Democratic Party Headquarters to speak about women's rights, gun control, and healthcare. Author Raj Patel presents a Clarke Forum lecture about the modern food system and the changes he believes it should undergo. Dickinson partners with SolarCity to install a new solar array that will provide electricity to the campus.

The College office and telephone switchboard office in Old West, the athletic office, and commuters' quarters in East College are revitalized for the new academic year. President Fred P. Corson speaks at chapel, announcing the plan for nondenominational services created with student input. The College Dance Band, Howard Gale and his Red and White Collegians, plays on station WHP in Harrisburg. Four freshman-sophomore scraps are planned: tug-of-war, flag, basketball, and baseball.

College Social Committee brings Claude Hopkins and his orchestra to campus for a concert.  Greek Club holds a meeting devoted to "Idylls of Theocritus," its last meeting of the semester.  William Nicklets writes a piece bemoaning the female gender's attachment to the need for male chivalrous attention even as it demands equal legal and political rights.  Dickinson Glee Club holds first rehearsal of 1939.  Co-chairmen of the Inter-collegiate Newspaper Association's semi-annual convention at Dickinson College, George S.
