The Popel Shaw Center holds its first Interracial Mixer at Landis House to discuss racism, ethnic stereotypes, and ethnic erasure.

New drug testing policy for student atheletes is approved. Students gather in ATS to watch the first presidential debate between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump. Exonerated inmates Sophia "Sunny" Jacobs and Peter Pringle present a Clarke Forum event in ATS on the importance of forgiveness. Acapella group Syrens updates their gender inclusivity critera from "all-female" to "all-female-identifying." Bhutanese flag is hung alongside other flags in the dining hall.

Elizabeth Kolbert wins the Sam Rose '58 and Julie Walters Prize for environmental activism and delivers a speech about her book The Sixth Extinction. Higher crime rates in Carlisle lead to an increase in patrols by the Carlilse Police Department and increased cooperation with Dickinson's Department of Public Safety (DPS). Interim President Neil Weissman holds first open hours session.
