The Men's Student Tribunal convicts two freshmen of serious infractions, resulting in the temporary withdrawal from the college of one of the offenders. The effort to develop an honor system by the honor committee continues with extensive surveys of such honor systems at other colleges. Changes are made to the physical education curriculum in order to provide students with a "Liberal Physical Education." Dickinson students may take part in an operetta sponsored by the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce.

Plans for a combined Doll Show and bazaar in December are announced. Soccer and volleyball are added to the college's sports program. Red identification tags are introduced to provide students admission to sports games. The dramatic club performs a one-act play as a part of its opening meeting. The honor court begins to devise a permanent honor system. President James Morgan announces that men living in fraternity houses may deduct the cost of renting a dorm room from their bill. Four new members are added to the Dickinsonian's editorial staff.

Dickinson holds its first Parent's Day, including a football game against Drexel and a faculty reception. The creation of a student-led honor system is discussed to mostly positive reactions. In a survey of college freshmen, Dickinson students rank 66th out of 317 colleges rated. The Interfraternity Council discusses plans for a fraternity weekend to be held in March.

Dave Totaro assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief of the Dickinsonian. The Dana Foundation announced a $250,000 grant to Dickinson to support teaching. The Public Affairs Symposium explores the possibility of using television as a medium for their presentations. Two students were suspended from the school for the remainder of the semester. Al Juechter was voted the new President of the Interfraternity Council. Merle Allshouse is set to replace Richard Waner as Associate Dean of the College effective July 1.

The schedule for Commencement Week and Alumni Weekend is published. IFC accepts it's previously proposed rush procedures for the 1966-67 yr that were approved by the Student Senate and not supported by the faculty. New rules for women's rush established by the Pan Hellenic council will go into effect next year. WIC revises the woman's rules. Two weekend trial runs of the new Social Rules were successful and a faculty will review and vote upon the rules next semester. "Collages," a new college published magazine, will add variety to student publications.

Dickinson faculty has met and adopted condition of the establishment of Social Rules and students are asked to vote on the ratification of the 11 proposals which include co-ed hours in dorms, alcohol consumption, and disciplinary actions for rule violations. Students are also asked for suggestions for a student honor system. Federico Fellini's "8 1/2" starring Marcello Mastrioanni will be shown. The article discusses the plot of the movie and the issues represented through symbolism in the film.
