Dickinson football defeats Pennsylvania College and is defeated by Haverford College and State College. YMCA holds week of prayer. President and Mrs. Reed hold annual reception. Glee Club does not reform.  Some students are criticized for defacing walls around campus.

The Class Tree of 1873 is sawed down in an act of vandalism.  The seniors go on the traditional class ride.  The baseball team goes undefeated for 6 games against Mechanicsburg, Lehigh, Chambersburg, and Carlisle. 

Through studies, a group of people in charge of the physical welfare of college students came up with a series of tests to ascertain the health of a student, and these tests will be administered at Dickinson. A mass meeting is called to address the problem of the destruction of college property by way of vandalism. Phi Delta Theta convention held in Ohio. The Union Philosophical Society, the Belles Lettres Society, and the Athletic Association elect new officers. Dickinson attends Y. M. C. A. convention.

Metropolitan Opera Company singer Nina Morgana hold recital. $1500 worth of instruments purchased by College for student band. All-College Social Committee plans upcoming events. Football team ends season with 6 wins, 3 losses. Dramatic Club announces cast for two upcoming shows. Belle Lettres to file complaint with faculty regarding the continuing vandalism of the society hall.

The nationwide, student-organized "Land Use in Our Backyard March" in Harrisburg attracts 400 demonstrators with 100 coming from Dickinson College. Lumberyard closes for repairs after bathroom is vandalized during Mardi Gras party. SASC proposes new description of relationship between College and student organizations, Open Forum to be held to discuss the changes. Committee works toward a campus-wide plan to improve and upgrade facilities for disabled students. Several campus groups sponsor Multicultural Fair/Black Arts Festival, opening with keynote speaker Dr. Manning Marable.

Dickinson's journalistic fraternity, Alpha Sigma Gamma, petitions national journalistic fraternity Pi Delta Epsilon for a charter. A group of 12 students visit the U.N. in New York. Ozan Marsh performs a piano recital, his second visit to Dickinson. A new program of inter-college cooperation between Dickinson, F&M, and Gettysburg, including an expansion of intramural sports competition and shared cultural and social events, is announced. A lecture is held on the state of affairs in Africa in terms of both economics and social structure.

College's phone system profiled, notes system changes on the way. Greek Week draws crowds in support of Greek life and the United Way once again. Professor Fred Petty's station wagon covers mileage equal to that of distance between Earth and Moon. Celebration planned. WDCV seeks to keep pace with new age of radio, increasing its wattage and station music selection. Computers once again targets of vandalism. Dickinsonian editorial board criticizes computer vandalism, reviews new phone system plan. Arts House production of "Shadow Box" on its way to campus audiences.

In this edition nominations for Student Senate president, vice-president and treasurer are being circulated. A vegetarian meal plan is now offered to any student and the Food Committee is currently testing new products to placate the students' disapproval with cafeteria foods. Students continue to protest against labor law violations by the J. P. Stevens and Co. textiles. There is an increase in fraternity pledges of about 10% from last year. Two College marathoners, Steve Braun and Howard Figler, both participated in the New York Marathon.
