Richard A. Campbell, Warren F. Coolidge, Janet C. Elder, Arthur C. Flandreau, William I. Mudd, Jr., Bruce R. Rehr, and Eleanor L. Uhland (all '50) are elected to join Phi Beta Kappa, the national honorary scholastic fraternity. Dean Russell I. Thompson announces the names of the students on the Dean's List; thirteen seniors, six juniors, seven sophomores, and five freshman attained the highest honor, with a GPA of 3.75 or above. Lois Price, Frank Fry, John Laudermilch, Ralph Masten, and Alvin Rojohn are selected to participate in the 1950 Pennsylvania All-State College Band festival.

Defined as an "alternative to distribution requirements," the Nisbet Scholars Program awaits final faculty approval and will begin with selected members of the class of 1979. Students would be exempt from distribution requirements, but participate in special seminars throughout the freshman year. The Mermaid Players production of Rashomon opens tonight. College librarian Yates Forbis suggests a security system to Student Senate to curb library book theft. The College's first Women's Center will open this week along with a mini-week on feminism.

The Faculty are set to vote on calendar revisions, which many students oppose. W.H. Auden is slated to receive the Dickinson College Arts Award during a March 5th celebration. Some women helped police catch an intruder into Sellers Hall. The Mermaid Players production of "The Rivals" introduced novel set design. WIC introduced the "Non-Honor Code" to institute rules for all women not involved in the Honor Code. Dickinson is set to buy an original Pablo Picasso print. Prof. George Allan will deliver a sermon at the College Chapel.
