The Gamma Epsilon Literary Society plans its own improvement in the field of debate. Dickinsonians await a performance of the Smalley Grand Concert Company, "composed of the finest Lady Quartet in the world." "Basket ball" grows in popularity, becoming the premier winter sport.
The Union Philosophical Society purchases books for the library. An inter-collegiate basketball league is being organized, and the editors encourage Dickinson to organize a team. Three Indians join the Union Philosophical Society, become the first to do so.
The Baseball team takes a victory over Gettysburg rivals. Seniors celebrate Annual Class Day features and prepare for graduation. The Drama Club's production of "Kempy" opens to great success. Alumni Day features class reunion activities and a parade. The Glee Club reviews the performances of its busy season. This last issue of the academic year also contains a review of the year's sports programs.
The basketball team ends an all-time best season with a record 15 wins. The Dramatic Club will present "The Whole Town's Talking." Tickets go on sale for the Junior Prom. Prof. C. W. Prettyman was elected president of the newly formed Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Dickenson looses against Bucknell and Penn State in the annual triangular debate. The 14th annual banquet of the Dickinson Alumni Association is held in Harrisburg. Coach McAndrews issues the first call for baseball hopefulls. The Dickinson basketball team takes a 33-25 victory over Gettysburg. The Drama Club will present "The Whole Town's Talking" on March 16th. The first annual Miami Triad Dance was held by Sigma Chi, Phi Delta Theta, and Beta Theta Pi fraternities. Motion pictures on the process of film-making were shown by the Mohler Scientific club.
Dickinson will host the 21st Annual Student Volunteer Conference of Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The cast for the mid-year play "The Whole Town's Talking" is chosen. The 1926 Microcosm reports a $632 profit. A new contest is proposed where all four literary societies will present a program in chapel and the student body will vote on a winner.
Dickinson considers entering into a football conference with seven other local colleges--including Gettysburg, Franklin and Marshall, Muhlemberg, Haverford, Ursinus, and Swarthmore. Try-outs are held for the Drama Club's winter production of "the Whole Town's Talking." The Dickinson Basketball team takes its 6th stright win over the undefeated Mount Saint Mary's. A three day Bible exhibit will be held at Allison Church where B. Floyd Rinker of the English department will speek on the history of the bible. Dr. G. Whitfield Ray gave a Chapel talk about life in South America.
Dr. Ray, noted explorer, will lecture on his experiences in South America in Chapel on Wednesday. The Junior Prom is planed for March 25th. Photography for the Microcosm has finished. President James H. Morgan was the first speaker on the program of the conference of the Educational Association of the Methodist Episcopal Church and spoke on "What Standards Shall Govern the Admission of Freshman?". The Harmon Literary Society focuses their most recent meeting on Shakespeare. The Basketball team takes an easy win over Blue Ridge.
Dickinson's Basketball team takes down the University of Pennsylvania in a 24 to 19 victory. Plans begin for the junior Prom. Jacob Goldberg is elected to basketball captain. Belles Lettres welcomes women to a meeting. The Dramatic Club announces "The Whole Town's Talking" as their mid-year play. Faculty judges select members for the Debating Team.
Student Senate President George Zierden will give a public apology at Gettysburg College for the "D"s painted on the gates of the college before their game against Dickinson. The Glee Club departs for a four day trip through Maryland. Christian F. Baiz, '27, is chosen as manager for the 1926 football team. The Dickinson Debate team considers forming a new triangular debate with Gettysburg and Franklin and Marshall Colleges. The YWCA will send proceeds and dolls from their Annual Doll Show to the children of prisoners in New York City. Mr. L. F. Bower, young people's secretary of the college, has been added as a chairman to the Debating Council and try-outs will be held for two full teams. The College Glee Club will give their first concert of the year at Newville Highschool. The basketball team opens the season in an away game against the City College of New York. With rushing drawn to a close, freshman will be pledged to their chosen fraternity.
The Dickinson football team has a good season, ending the year with only 2 defeats. Women's Senate will hold a meeting to vote upon recommendations made by the Woman's Intercollegiate Association of Student Government. Fraternity rushing begins. The poll taken by the YMCA and YWCA shows that the student body favors entering the World Court. The Women's Basketball team begins practices. The YWCA will hold its annual Doll Show.
The second annual Parents and Alumni Day is a great success. The Theta Chi fraternity has purchased 270 West High Street to be used as a fraternity home. The French Club plans to preform Moliere's "La Grammaire." Dr. Richard Burton delivered a lecture in chapel on the subject of "Modern Tendency in Drama." The football team takes Albright College in a 13 to 6 victory and prepares to meet their arch-rivals Gettysburg. Dickinsonians attend an east central Pennsylvania conference on the World Court. The College celebrates Halloween with a Dance.

Dr. Fred P. Corson is elected President of the Association of College Presidents of Pennsylvania. Marion Van Auken is selected as the Queen of the Mid-Winter Ball. The new James W. Bosler Library nears completion. The Basketball Team beats Drexel. Alum of the Carlisle Indian School and former Olympian, Jim Thorpe will speak at the college next week.
The seventh annual Guest Day for prospective students gets underway. A group of pranksters locks the only door to Bosler Hall (then under construction) while seven people, including College Dean Ernest Vuilleumier, are inside, forcing them to climb through the rubble in the back of the building. Howard Williams, captain of the basketball team, is awarded the Phi Epsilon Pi Most Valuable Player trophy.
Attendance is high at the Alumni Football Banquet. Mrs. Bradford McIntire, one of the original planners of the Doll Show, arrives on campus to fulfill her role as guest of honor at this year's incarnation of that event. John Bunting wins the Belles Lettres essay contest with a piece titled "Public Enigma Number 1." The basketball team wins the first two games of their season, to Blue Ridge and Susquehanna, respectively.
Klein S. Merriman received the Class of 1902 Award for being the all-around Dickinsonian of the Junior class. The Greek Club initiates seven new members. W3YC, Dickinson’s amateur radio station, enters an international radio contest. Sigma Alpha Epsilon celebrates the 79th anniversary of its founding. The Women’s Glee Club plans a new program. The Dickinsonian conducts a student poll on national politics. The Debate Team ties with State College. Omicron Delta Kappa revises their newly proposed student plan and awaits student approval.

Changes in The Dickinsonian staff are announced. The Debate Team loses to Lafayette and will soon face off with Muhlenberg. The prom chairman announces the date of the Junior Prom. President Corson issues a budget for student groups. Professor Parlin perfects a portable intensitometer and a set of colored filters, which together are used to test the degree and type of colorblindness. A French diplomat addresses the International Relations club in a speech about World Peace and the League of Nations.
