The revised baseball schedule is announced. The Ladies of the college held a reception for the Freshman Class. The results of the Prep School strength tests are announced, revealing that on average the prep school students are stronger than the freshmen and sophomores. The Dickinsonian Board of Editors elects Boyd L. Spahr as Editor-in-chief. The new officers of the Belles Lettres Society are announced.

President Waugh and Dean Hitchler give alumni assurances about the direction the college is going in, even though it is a tough economic time. Dickinson's dog population continues to increase. Elections to the Board of Trustees are soon to come. Schedule of upcoming speakers at Chapel. Lindsey Richard won the annual Omicron Delta Kappa sophomore cup award. The winter edition of the Hornbook to appear March 31, 1933. New leaders elected to the YWCA and WSGA.

Dickinsonian to hold annual banquet.  Sigma Chi wins Interfraternity cup in intramural basketball.  A portrait of James Wilson to be purchased for the college under the leadership of Boyd Lee Spahr, Esq.  Debate team defeats Penn State.  Men's basketball finishes its season with a second defeat of Gettysburg.  Interfraternity Council reforms rushing rules.

"Grand Old Man of Dickinson" J.H. Morgan steps down from presidency as Mervin G. Filler, fourteen year dean, takes the reigns at the inaugural ceremony.  Boyd Lee Spahr, class of 1900 and president of the Alumni Association, presides over a luncheon as part of the ceremony.  Brigadier General Frank R. Keefer, class of 1885 and Surgeon General of the United States Army is among those to give an address.

Boyd Lee Spahr, Head of Alumni Association, presents the college with large portrait of Dickinson grad and eminent scientist Spencer Fullerton Baird.  College President Mervin G. Filler is presented with an honorary degree of doctor of laws at the induction of Dr. Edmund Davison Soper as president of Ohio Wesleyan University.

The Alumni Council holds their annual banquet with Boyd Lee Spahr as keynote speaker. A statistic study of the freshman class indicates that half of the members are either Presbyterian or Methodist. The Debate Club announces the subjects for intercollegiate debate this year. The Pelletier-Shakespeare company will present a group of Shakespearean tragedies. The freshman cast for The Goose with the Golden Egg is chosen. The College hosted many enthusiastic alumni this past Homecoming weekend.

Alpha Sigma Gamma, the journalism fraternity, elects seven new members.  Professor of American History Hiram Herr Shenk speaks before Young People's Fellowship.  Dr.

Dr. William W. Edel will retire by March 1959 after 12 years as Dickinson's president. Similarly, Dr. Frank Ayres, head of the Math Department, announced that he will resign from Dickinson after 30 years of teaching. The Physics Department will receive a new department head, Dr. Henry Lincoln Yeagley, who comes from teaching at Penn State for 37 years. The "New South" snack bar opens in South College, featuring the special "Mermaid's Delight": a sponge cake with ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a cherry.

Frederic W. Ness becomes humanities chair. Gilbert Malcolm elected president of college. Mermaid Players Sue Murray and Doug Wert receive Gould Awards for outstanding dramatic arts. Twelve outstanding seniors selected for Who's Who. Danforth experiment to continue with freshman discussions of values in next school year. George Shuman reveals Development Council's building plan. Microcosm meets approval. Interfraternity Council plans modified rushing program for next school year. Commons Club ceases to exist.
