Plans for Homecoming, November 15, are underway. Two recent Dickinson graduates, John Pipa and Robert Forney, take part in local politics, running for positions in Northumberland County. The freshman class revolts against the class rules system, violating every rule but wearing the dink. This is in reaction to the disciplinary actions taken by the Tribunal in the past weeks, including hair-cuttings in the week previous. The freshmen make a list of demands and send it to the Tribunal however, all of their requests are denied by student government.

Professor Herbert Wing of the Greek Department and coach debating is named president of the State Intercollegiate Debating Association of delegates from twenty colleges in the state. The Greek Club presents a play entitled "The Sorrows of Demeter" Friday night.

New intramural sports are introduced including wrestling, boxing and soccer to join intramural basketball, track, swimming and baseball. Twenty-seven of the thirty-six new freshmen women pledge fraternities. The cross country season is postponed until November to prevent athletes from injury. Eighty-nine new books are added to the college's library.

The Board of Trustees organize several series of lectures on cultural and educational topics for the Dickinson and Carlisle community. They will cover "The Makers of Europe" and "Studies of Great Men." The Sigma Chi fraternity announces at the Interfraternity Council its intent to hold a contest of both scholarship and intramural sports for fraternities to participate in. The Dramatic Club will present several one act plays during Friday chapel in addition to their usual major productions.

A Freshman Week is adopted for the first time in conjunction with the YMCA. Conway Hall is renovated to include some rooms to be used for dormitory purposes and to update the locker room facilities. Four freshman men are summoned by the Men's Student Tribunal for violation of freshmen rules and are charged with insubordination. 186 new books are added to the college library's collection covering such subjects as history, science, biography and art. The Women's Senate establishes and reinforces a myriad of rules for the freshmen girls to follow.

The 1935 Commencement Week has begun. The Senior Class has a picnic and dance. The Women's Glee Club gives a recital. The Men's Glee Club also gives a final concert. The Dramatic Club ends the year with their presentation of "Lady Windermere's Fan." It is revealed that there will be three foreign exchange students at Dickinson next year.

Plans for the 152nd Commencement are finished. The Literary Clubs holds elections. Benny Goodman is selected as the performing artist of the Commencement Dance. The Microcosm holds elections. The All-College Senate takes control of the school government. Skull and Key hold their annual Pledge Dance. The Greek Club elects officers for next year.

A new German professor is hired. Skull and Key taps members for next year. The Men’s Glee Club sings at Carlisle High School. The Dickinson band elects new officers for next year. A column relates the German Nazis Party’s failings to change the colors of mail boxes and postal vehicles. The College Orchestra plays at Carlisle High School. The college begins to transition to the O.D.K. proposal for a new student government.

The Debate Team will end the season with a debate later in the week. The golf team loses to Johns Hopkins. The Dramatic Club begins try-outs for the play “Lady Windermere’s Fan.” The tennis team loses to Bucknell. Forty new books are added to the library. Wheel and Chain taps nine new members. The Men’s Glee Club gives a concert. The Women’s Athletic Association elects new officers. Sororities hold their spring elections. The Greek Club spoke about Greece and the Christian Church. The Junior swimmers on the Women’s swim team placed first in a meet.

The 20th President of Dickinson College is inaugurated. The Dickinsonian conducts research the undergraduate life of new college president Fred Corson. The 330th anniversary of Martin Luther’s Bible translation will be celebrated by a supper meeting at Allison Memorial Church. It is remarked that President Corson is one of the youngest college presidents in the US. The Women’s Glee Club plans their spring schedule. A talk is presented by the Association of University Women on the importance of social engineering.
