Mrs. Mary O'Hara Spring and Miss Matilda W. Denny of Pittsburgh donate two properties on Main Street to the college; President Reed hopes to build a recitation hall on the O'Hara Spring property, which becomes Denny Hall. The Denny property is sold to fund the construction. A floor is added to the gymnasium above the bowling alley for the purpose of indoor baseball practice, boxing, wrestling, and fencing. YMCA observes day of prayer.
The class of 1895, under the leadership of William Clarke, constructs a gate at the northeast corner of campus. Board of Trustees raises limit of college enrollment to 600; lowers number of women students to be admitted. Dickinson Players perform A Full House.

President Sam Banks has decided to appoint a Commission on the Status of Minorities, which was recommended by the Study Group on Minorities. The College hopes to review the "current situation of the black community" and develop ways to enhance their campus experience. The old Alumni Gymnasium is currently being converted into the new Fine Arts Center and will be finished just in time for the department's 20th anniversary. Sigma Chi's intramural football team won in a championship game against Phi Kap.
