Dickinson students and members of the Allison Memorial church will work together to create of performance of a Nativity play. The Men’s Senate ordered its Tribunal to remove several Freshman Rules, affective after the winter break. It is discovered that the library has great diversity in books. The Women’s Senate plans future events for the women of the college. The Women’s Club gives a banquet in honor of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Carlisle branch of the American Association of University Women. The debate squad will participate in a debate forum at Juniata College.

Dickinsonian, October 27, 1934

The football team wins against Allegheny by the wide margin of 21-0. The freshmen football team wins against the Carlisle Y.M.C.A team. A tea is held in honor of the president’s wife, Mrs. Frances Corson. The Archaeological Institute of America claims that the college is in possession of a very valuable stone sarcophagus. A search concluded that such a gift was indeed presented to the college, but it had been removed some time ago. The number of freshmen pledged to fraternities totals twenty-one. The Senate names a new chairman of the Senate Tribunal Committee.

The Freshman class plans to hold an annual class picnic. The Men's Glee Club gives a concert at Carlisle High School. The club additionally hopes to revive the tradition of singing on the Old Stone Steps every Tuesday. Dickinson Law School introduces a summer term, during which Dickinson College students can take courses for credit. The Women's Glee Club performs in Mechanicsburg at the Trinity Lutheran Church.

The combined Glee Clubs and the Allison Church Choir sponsor a concert by the world-famous Westminster Choir. The college charters a train to transport students to Lancaster in order to support the football team in their game against Franklin and Marshall. Upon arriving in Lancaster, the students and the College Band will march on the field along with the team.

YWCA plans May breakfast for Founders' Day.  Plans for senior class picnic.  Glee club nominates officers.  Students volunteer to fight forest fires on South Mountain.  Interfraternity Council elects officers.  Student Senate passes legislation concerning election of campus organization officers.  President Filler appeals to alumni for funding for Alumni Gymnasium.

Dr. Goodrich C. White, president of Emory University to be commencement speaker. Eight honorary degrees to be conferred at commencement, three on graduates of Dickinson. Men's Glee Club to present concert featuring hit Broadway showtunes. Prof. John Steckbeck to go on tour addressing various groups over the summer. Plans for College Band include the possible formation of a concert dance band composed of members from the band.

Rush ends and 126 freshmen men pledge fraternities including Alpha Chi Rho, Beta Theta Pi, Kappa Sigma, Phi Delta Theta, Phi Epsilon Pi, Phi Kappa Psi, Phi Kappa Sigma, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Sigma Chi and Theta Chi. The Dickinson Law School begins to require all applicants for admission to take the Law School Admissions Test. The annual trip to the UN is scheduled for October 17 and 18 which will allow students to attend a General Assembly session. A new Methodist church is being built on Benjamin Rush Campus. Parents' Day will be observed on October 16.

Nominees for Spring Formal Queen are announced, Alpha Psi Omega admits six new members. Men's Glee Club to present its annual Spring Concert. The next Religion in Life Week is planned for November 13th to 17th. Faculty protests arms tests. Radio station is approved after ten years of discussion. Library receives three collections of historically important materials. Follies selects new officers. Omicron Delta Kappa admits two students and one professor. The Belles Lettres Society combines The Hornbook and The Literary Bulletin. Five plays to be presented by freshmen.
