The Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM) collaborates with the Carlisle Borough LeTort Regional Authority (LRA) to create the First Annual LeTort Festival.  Malcolm Hall residents displaced by a fire return to their rooms despite smoke damage throughout much of the building.  Students flock to Morgan Field for the Amani SpringFest.  Graduating Student Senate president Anya Malkov passes the gavel to newly initiated president Aaron Williams.

The fraternity Theta Chi remains temporarily suspended due to hazing.  Dickinson students pack the Stern Center Great Room to hear Benjamin Weiser, New York Times reporter and author, speak.  Student Senate election results are posted.  A racial epithet is found written on the door to Davidson-Wilson Hall regarding the upcoming US presidential elections.

Former President William J. Clinton addresses students at Kline Center on the presidential campaign of wife Hillary Clinton.  Rumors pervade the student body that presidential candidate Barack Obama will visit the campus.  Senior adviser to Barack Obama, Mark Alexander speaks to students in Stern Center.  Obama supporters attend a rally in Harrisburg.  As clubs fight for Student Senate funding, Dickinson's tuition rates rise a further 6.9 percent for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Local restaurant Salamandra closes as the Student Senate considers passing a resolution to allow students to use meal plan accounts at select Carlisle restaurants.  "Godfather of archaeology" Professor Leon Fitts is set to retire at the end of the semester.  The college receives a $93,000 grant from the Compost Infrastructure Development Grant Program to expand farming compost.  The 10th Annual Apollo Night talent show is held in the ATS auditorium.  The sports section remembers local legend Jim Thorpe.

Founder's Day celebrations are deemed a great success. Student Senate meets to discuss improving "chapel entertainment," a popular notion among the student body. The Honor System (renamed the "Student Government Examination System") is amended and enters its second trial phase. The freshman class elects its officers for the next academic year. The final examination schedule is published.

Journalist and founding member of the NAACP Hamilton Holt gives a talk defending the League of Nations at chapel. Senate announces that, in light of the lack of support for the Honor System, amendments will be made and proposed to the student body. The Mohler Science Club elects officers. Local merchant Foster Cromleigh offers the choice of a fountain pen or gold pencil to the first Dickinsonian batter to hit a home run.

Dickinsonian, January 21, 1921

Lady Anne Azagapatian addresses the College chapel, speaking specifically on the plight of her native Armenia. Student Senate votes to give the honor system a trial run, with many students remaining skeptical. Senate also grapples with logistics for catering the annual all-college banquet, a popular tradition that Senate earned much criticism for neglecting through the early part of the year. The Press Club is established and meets for the first time.

A student assaults a fellow student late at night in the house of his ex girlfriend. He is arrested and and suspended from campus until further notice. Student Senate completely cuts funding for single-sex organizations on campus as per a previously unenforced bylaw. Delta Sigma Theta, a historically prominently black sorority, earns a charter from Dickinson College. The Sigma Phi chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity is nominated for ten national awards. Two members of the baseball team are named to the Centennial Conference Team for their achievements during the season.

WDCV, Alpha Phi Omega and Special Friends hold "Fundraiser for Autism and Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation," an annual event preciously known as 40 Hours for Autism. Student Senate proposes a resolution to change professor evaluations to make them more anonymous. REACH! a program that promotes greater academic achievement through the performing arts, holds a fashion show to raise awareness for the group and to collect donations for the family of the father of a REACH! member.

As fraternity rush season takes off, Kappa Sigma fraternity considers reapplying for recognition on campus after being suspended in 2004. The TV ad-hoc committee established recently by Student Senate releases a poll of potential cable channels to be added to Dickinson's repertoire. MOB and Delta Sigma Phi fraternity hold a CD release party for a local student band. A former technician in the biology department is charged with stealing $146,000 from the school by charging personal purchases to a department credit card and submitting false receipts for reimbursement.

The second annual Run for Steph is set for Homecoming Weekend in order to preserve the memory of this beloved deceased Dickinsonian. For the first time in the past four years, a nominee for a Student Senate committee is rejected. This candidate, a sufferer of autism, was recommended to the Student Senate Judicial Board twice by the college's discipline systems administrator and yet denied. Grab-N-Go promotes the sale of reusable lunch bags to reduce Dickinson's paper usage.

Student Tribunal system creating a student lead disciplinary body is approved by Men's Senate, constitution presented to the student body. Budget Committee plans spending for 1923-1924 term. Professor Vuilleumier develops "The Dickinson Alchometer", a portable device for testing alcohol content in various liquids. May Festival to be a two day event, featuring three plays given by the McEntee Company. Greek Exposition of art and culture to have two performances, event to be held in gymnasium. Spotlight on newly elected athletic director and head football coach B. Russell Murphy. Varsity basketball team has "most successful year in history of the College", with ten wins and four losses.
