The College's financial standing has improved over the past 12 years under the guidance of President Morgan and plans are made for a new Gymnasium to be built on the site of South College. Plans are made to organize a German Club. The Glee Clubs combine to put on the Japanese play "Miss Cherry Blossom" or "A Maid of Tokyo." The tennis team travels to Philadelphia.
This issue of the Dickinsonian contains a write-up about the Joe Nesbit orchestra, who will be playing at this year's Junior Prom. A new rule for graduation is announced stating that students averaging less than 60% for any year's college work or less than 70% for each of two consecutive year's work shall lose one year of college credit. The Men's and Women's Glee Clubs will combine to give an Easter concert. Commencement activities will begin on June 3rd with fraternity open-house dances and commencement itself will be held on the morning of June 7th.
Dickenson looses against Bucknell and Penn State in the annual triangular debate. The 14th annual banquet of the Dickinson Alumni Association is held in Harrisburg. Coach McAndrews issues the first call for baseball hopefulls. The Dickinson basketball team takes a 33-25 victory over Gettysburg. The Drama Club will present "The Whole Town's Talking" on March 16th. The first annual Miami Triad Dance was held by Sigma Chi, Phi Delta Theta, and Beta Theta Pi fraternities. Motion pictures on the process of film-making were shown by the Mohler Scientific club.
S. Marsh Johnson, former assistant coach at the University of Pittsburgh, is elected by the Athletic Association as Dickinson's new football Coach. Dickinson has joined a one year trial Eastern Collegiate Athletic conference with the football programs of Gettysburg, Franklin and Marshall, Muhlenberg, and Ursinus. Joe Nesbit's Orchestra will provide the music for the Junior Prom this year. The Student Volunteer Conference is a popular success. Prof. Leon C. Prince delivered the main address of the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Belles Lettres literary Society.
Dickinson's Basketball team takes down the University of Pennsylvania in a 24 to 19 victory. Plans begin for the junior Prom. Jacob Goldberg is elected to basketball captain. Student Senate President George Zierden will give a public apology at Gettysburg College for the "D"s painted on the gates of the college before their game against Dickinson. The Glee Club departs for a four day trip through Maryland. Christian F. Baiz, '27, is chosen as manager for the 1926 football team. The Dickinson Debate team considers forming a new triangular debate with Gettysburg and Franklin and Marshall Colleges. Dickinson attends the National Undergraduate Inter-Fraternity Council held in NYC and returns with new suggested policies. The Glee Club will give a Christmas Concert. Ninety men, 64% of the men in the present freshman class, pledged to a fraternity. The Annual Doll Show raised $95. Players are honored at the annual football banquet. Plans are made for the freshman song examination.
The YWCA will send proceeds and dolls from their Annual Doll Show to the children of prisoners in New York City. Mr. L. F. Bower, young people's secretary of the college, has been added as a chairman to the Debating Council and try-outs will be held for two full teams. The College Glee Club will give their first concert of the year at Newville Highschool. The basketball team opens the season in an away game against the City College of New York. With rushing drawn to a close, freshman will be pledged to their chosen fraternity.

The basketball team ends its season, perhaps its best in school history. Sophomore Milton Davidson is awarded the sophomore cup for exemplary character and achievement by Omicron Delta Kappa. The winners of the 1932 Microcosm beauty contest are decided and include both fraternity and non-fraternity girls. Student Senate makes plans for a D Club on campus which will ensure that deserving athletic teams are adequately awarded. The Interfraternity Council revises rules for rushing. A distinguished alumnus is lost with the death of Dr. Clyde Bowman Furst.
The Athletic Association elects a new president, but protests the lack of publicity regarding the elections, blaming Student Senate for the poor turnout. The Biology department, under the leadership of Elmer Herber and the Mohler Scientific Club, presents three films relating to the study of cancer but are interdisciplinary. At the faculty meeting it is decided that preliminary examinations will be done away with beginning immediately to lessen the work for both students and their professors.
Arrangements for the contests in oratory and declamation for members of the Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman classes have been completed by the faculty members in charge - Several awards will be given. Mrs. Mabel W. Willebrandt has been chosen to deliver the Commencement address this year. Discussion of well-received lecture in chapel given by Dr. F. D. Losey on "Macbeth." The Glee Club prepares for this season's first long tour, traveling to Virginia and and West Virginia. The Senate voted to become a member of the National Student Federation of the United States of America. Three Dickinsonians will participate this summer in the orchestra group, the Dickinson Ramblers' tour around the world on a tour ship.
The Dickinson Men's and Women's Glee Clubs have been invited to sing at a regional College Glee Club Festival. This year about 110 students out of the 543 total did not return to Dickinson after their first year. The Chairman of the College Social Committee, Blanchard Antes announces the upcoming annual College Picnic. The Senior class decides to end the tradition of Seniors using canes, choosing instead to purchase blue blazers for the entire class. Six Freshman girls receive punishment for breaking the "armband rule."
