The Union Philosophical Society purchases books for the library. An inter-collegiate basketball league is being organized, and the editors encourage Dickinson to organize a team. Three Indians join the Union Philosophical Society, become the first to do so.

Dickinson will host the 21st Annual Student Volunteer Conference of Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The cast for the mid-year play "The Whole Town's Talking" is chosen. Dickinson considers entering into a football conference with seven other local colleges--including Gettysburg, Franklin and Marshall, Muhlemberg, Haverford, Ursinus, and Swarthmore. Morgan was the first speaker on the program of the conference of the Educational Association of the Methodist Episcopal Church and spoke on "What Standards Shall Govern the Admission of Freshman?". Student Senate President George Zierden will give a public apology at Gettysburg College for the "D"s painted on the gates of the college before their game against Dickinson. The YWCA will send proceeds and dolls from their Annual Doll Show to the children of prisoners in New York City. Mr. L. F. Bower, young people's secretary of the college, has been added as a chairman to the Debating Council and try-outs will be held for two full teams. The College Glee Club will give their first concert of the year at Newville Highschool. The basketball team opens the season in an away game against the City College of New York. With rushing drawn to a close, freshman will be pledged to their chosen fraternity.

The seventh annual Guest Day for prospective students gets underway. A group of pranksters locks the only door to Bosler Hall (then under construction) while seven people, including College Dean Ernest Vuilleumier, are inside, forcing them to climb through the rubble in the back of the building. Howard Williams, captain of the basketball team, is awarded the Phi Epsilon Pi Most Valuable Player trophy.
Attendance is high at the Alumni Football Banquet. Mrs. Bradford McIntire, one of the original planners of the Doll Show, arrives on campus to fulfill her role as guest of honor at this year's incarnation of that event.
