German club sponsors Max Montor to present Goethe's poetic works. Class deans explain demerit system in response to student agitation; students are further agitated by the knowledge. Professor J.F. Mohler leads the Scientific Club in studying the heavens via powerful telescopes.  Professor Leon C. Prince thanks the school band for their assistance in a campaign visit to Duncannon.  Senior William R. Smith and his Sigma Chi fraternity brothers direct traffic and return a deer to Mooreland Park after a blizzard on the previous Friday, April 27th.

The Dickinsonian elects new staff heads. Omicron Delta Kappa, national leadership honorary fraternity, taps four new members: Carl F. Skinner, Philip J. Anderson, Frank C. Ogelsby, and Sidney B. Kline, Jr. A standard First Aid course is being offered at Dickinson by the Carlisle Red Cross. Psychiatrist of the Child Guidance Center of Harrisburg, Dr. Paul F. Dunn addresses a psychology class. Eric Cox of Sigma Chi was crowned the table tennis champion of the College. Religion-in-Life Week to be headed by Dr. Harold Bosley, leading author and religious leader.

Lambda Sigma Pi elects eight new members. Union Philosophical Society to discuss "war aims" in their next meeting. A Student Opinion Surveys of America poll reveals that three of every five women are volunteering with civilian defense activities, but less than three of ten men, not already in the Armed Services, are helping with defense duties. Mid-Winter Ball was attended by 130 couples or 260 students. Three seniors elected to join Phi Beta Kappa.

Five Dickinson fraternities participated in the annual Red Cross Drive of Carlisle, collecting money for the organization. The Communications Committee had it first meeting to discuss campus issues including the College's gift to the Allison Methodist Church, the Student Activities Building and accuracy of reports in the Dickinsonian. Following a vote by Student Senate, a committee will be created to be involved in plans for the proposed Student Center.

Rush ends and 126 freshmen men pledge fraternities including Alpha Chi Rho, Beta Theta Pi, Kappa Sigma, Phi Delta Theta, Phi Epsilon Pi, Phi Kappa Psi, Phi Kappa Sigma, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Sigma Chi and Theta Chi. The Dickinson Law School begins to require all applicants for admission to take the Law School Admissions Test. The annual trip to the UN is scheduled for October 17 and 18 which will allow students to attend a General Assembly session. A new Methodist church is being built on Benjamin Rush Campus. Parents' Day will be observed on October 16.

A discussion on Dickinson's Honor Code will be sponsored by Danforth and Omicron Delta Kappa. All sororities and some fraternities are to hold Christmas parties for the underprivileged children of Carlisle. The Dickinson College Choir will be filmed performing in Harrisburg and broadcast on WHP TV.

A feud between the Student Senate and the Dean regarding the Dickinsonian has been resolved. Chemistry Professor Dr. Vuilleumier died in the Althouse Stockroom and was mourned by the campus community. Four high-achieving seniors are initiated into the Phi Beta Kappa honors society and members of Phi Beta Phi, Kappa Sigma, Phi Mu, and Sigma Chi were also honored for their academic achievements.

Due to a tragic accident at the crosswalk between the Holland Union Building and the Academic Quad, safety flags stations will be constructed to prevent further accidents. The class of 2006 says goodbye to Dickinson and hears Judge John Jones '77 at commencement. Sigma Chi, a recently expelled fraternity, sues the college. After a forty-year hiatus, the D-Book makes its return. The women's lacrosse team ends with the best record in the team's history and becomes the first Dickinson women's lacrosse team to win an NCAA tournament game.
